One for the lost Windsor files… The Morris Walkerville Funeral chapel in 1934. Located on Wyandotte St near Lincoln on the north side. The Chapel is today a parking lot, while the flower shop to the right, was for many years the Velvet Restaurant, and now home to Wineology. The buildings we’ve had and we’ve lost in this city will never cease to amaze me.

Wow. Would have been a cool building for anything today.
It’s funny how 90% of these beauties are now parking lots.
You’d think Windsor was one giant parking lot with a few random buildings inbetween.
Was the chapel the site of the Kitty Cat Club? Wrought iron lettering, seen late 70s – early 80s, but probably defunct by then.
Dear Jim:
The chapel was once called “The Kitten Club”.
I remember passing the Kitten Club on my way to school and I always wondered what kind of club it was! Does anyone know?
