The Art Gallery of Windsor played host to TVO’s AgendaCamp yesterday. The event was well attended, and brought about a good level of discourse.
The results of yesterday’s sessions are available online, as well as the follow up broadcast tonight at 8:00 pm, live from the Art Gallery on TVO.
A big thank you goes out to David Hawkins, Mark Kuznicki, Steve Pakin and the rest of the team from TV Ontario for picking our little city to kick of The Agenda’s road trip.
A shot of Steve Pakin with local blog nerd Chris Holt of Scaledown.ca
That same Chris Holt guy milking some time in front of the camera for an interview.
One of the smaller breakout sessions, this one focusing on the Arts in Windsor.
Another session this one lead by Adriano from windsoreats.com
For more information, check the wiki. Details, notes, photos and some videos from yesterday’s AgendaCamp are all online at the wiki.
great shots andrew! i’m glad to hear/see that people turned out, always makes these things worth while. and a very nice setting i might add.
hey chris….where can i pick up one of those sweaters with the backpack stitched to it? lol
aahhh i’m just kiddin!! 😉 i’d say you had put it down in that shot where you’re sitting, but i can’t prove it. lol
that hand drawn sign is so simply sketched out, but for some reason i really like it…….interesting.
great job you two, you guys rock!!! and yes, thanks TVO!
it was good to hear about it a bit more on CJAM today. i look forward to watching it on TVO soon. nice to see the artwork in the background there i helped install at the AGW too. : )
Really looking forward to tonight as well, It’s really a huge moment for all of us!
Props to EH Channel for covering the event.
LOL but hey, Andrew you scooped em again! mwahahahahahahhahaaaaaa
Did anyone catch the plug Steve Pakin gave to Windsor Eats?
Congratulations to those guys. Adriano from Windsoreats.com and I had lunch with Steve Pakin yesterday during the Agendacamp, and he really liked the local concept behind windsoreats and what they are trying to do.
Obviously that really stuck with him, as they earned a plug a day later…
Yeah, I caught that, Andrew. Awesome stuff and good for windsoreats.com and everyone in the blogosphere!
This was truly a landmark evening : )
Yay WindsorEats!
Thanks for the congrats! You guys have no clue how shocked Pina and I were when we heard him say that. Jillian is even super excited about her mention of her in Stats class.
I know this is said every time, but, I just hope this discussion continues. I have taken it one step further and have already contacted Justin of Broken City Lab and Murad of FAM Fest for possible collaboration. It is time for Windsor’s local businesses to band together instead of looking out for themselves only. People need to start looking at the pie as a whole, not just their slice.
also…i personally believe it was the “Sweet potato fries” story that made everything I said more memorable
hahaha
We know the only way someone gets man-love like that, Adriano, and sweet potato fries has nothing to do with it 😉
Hey Aaron – that’s a custom job! From way back in my high-paying Big 3 days. I couldn’t afford something like that now!
Nice work all! Windsor looked good last night. That is, seemed full of people who care a lot.
Shawn, the camp on Sunday was phenomenal. As I stated above, I am already trying to work things out with a couple contacts I’ve made there. You just watch, there is a good core of people working on some positive change here in Windsor that we’ll make it a place you’ll move back to…and soon!
I dunno. I’ve become rather attached to the CN Tower. Though sleeping in the RenCen during the Creative Cities Summit was alright.
