An interesting old postcard shot showing what I believe to be the last block of Lincoln Road looking north towards Riverside Dr and the river. It looks like a nice quiet small town road.

What a pic! The horsedrawn wagon looks like the iceman’s and, is that a gas fired street lamp? It appears to have a vent at the top. I love these shots without trees.

Looks like the “Widow’s Walk” was a very popular feature back then. You can see it on 2 or 3 houses in this picture, and if you look at the current Google maps view, it looks like at least 4 of them had it and can still be seen on the roof.
Uzzy, those are faux widow’s walks as there is no entry to them. But I like them nonetheless. Too bad so many are now divided into apartments…
