What was that restaurant/diner on the east side of Ouellette in the 1200 block? I remember they had nice booths and a heavy chrome art deco style door.
thats the one that backs real close to Cabana road the front is on the curve to provincial??
This restaurant was in the centre of Kavanaugh’s Motel on Howard Ave. north of Edinborough St. – next to Jose’s Noodle Factory now. It was later called “Kirk’s” and then the “Howard Restaurant” for awhile. Half of the motel rooms and the restaurant were torn down to accommodate the expanding tool shop next door in the late 70’s or early 80’s. The remaining half of the rooms remain and are now called “Boroot’s Motel” I believe.
Now the Tooba Motel.
