A nice old photo from about 1910 showing Foxley, designed by Albert Kahn and built in 1907.
This photo shot back in 2001 shows the house barely unchanged. A true Walkerville gem.
Have a good weekend everyone, see you back here Monday!

What’s the story behind this house? It is one of my favourites in the neighborhood!
Is there any info on the beautiful home that is built from large round stones? I think the address is 849 Kildaire. In the summer it has green growth all over it!
It used to be a WWI hospital for veterans for a time (849 Kildare). Very original home in great shape. As is the Foxley.
WOW! A WWI hospital for veterans! That is fascinating and eerie at the same time!
beautiful, home, business, retirement and most important of all, this building once was a hospital for WORLD WAR 1 veterans at 849 kildare. A true gem. “just to know” that this great structure and the people who helped the veterans here is a historical memory of the hospital personal, our great soldiers and the canadian citizens of canada of WWI and the freedom we all helped to sustain for our canada and the world.
