I know by this point this is old news… I shot this picture this past weekend, as the old Paint Shop smoke stack removal was taking place. I was trying to find a photo I had of the stacks in all their glory, it just took longer than expected to find it…
Here are the smoke stacks from a photo I took back in 2003.
Another one of those local landmarks that have recently gone.

Here is the photo from Darren @ Artwindsor.org referenced below.
There are still some nice smokestacks over EAP; gives off a very scene outline especially if you get a shot from Essex Way around sundown.
i’ll take some shots from my balcony when the weather clears. the stacks always looked like a comb to me in the distance. half of them are gone now it appears. i’ll send you a before and current photo soon.
That would be great Darren.
not sure if that will work… took the one above just now. sorry about the poor quality, my camera is just a P&S. the other is from 2002 when the antonov came to town.
sent you the image i was talking about above
thanks for posting the photo, as you can see quite a few of them are gone now.
I work at the plant. If you want pics from the roof, let me know.
Luc, that would be great!
only 4 stacks left now i see… hazy but just looks like 4 now. i’ll take another photo tomorrow.
