Despite rumors… The Prince of Wales is still standing… For now.
The University promised the Windsor Heritage Committee that they would attempt to salvage architectural elements off the building prior to demolition.
It looks like they are keeping their word. These guys appear to be working on removing the school name and stone door surround.
Some elements have already been removed. If you check out this post you can see the architectural elements still in place.
The building eaters chomped off two sculptural details off the 1926 addition.
Here’s a photo of the school following the 1927 addition on the east side of the building.
I suppose it’s just a matter of when now… I bet she’s mostly gobbled up by the weekend…
**[EDIT] Owen at Windsor Visuals has added some photos. Be sure to check them out as well.
Here ya go, as requested, link to a few other Prince of Wales photos from Windsor Visuals:

will they be using what they remove in the new building?
pc – No. They will be used as decoration in the courtyard or elsewhere on the grounds. Likely as a monument of some sort.
I pretty sure that the new engineering building won’t be the type of building that will look ok with any type of exterior ornamentation.
