So Friday afternoon, a half day early, the exhibition Electric Avenue: Historic Streetcars of Windsor threw its doors open to the public.
The show runs now, through January 3, 2010. The opening reception is open to the public and is October 16th, from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm with regular gallery admission.
The show features historic images and maps from the Bernie Drouillard collection, as well as contemporary images from Andrew Foot, John Stefani & Darren Bonnici.
Above is a crappy video I shot on my Camera Phone, consider it a sneak peak…
Details about the show, the opening and the panel discussions are listed below. I hope to see you out on the 16th.

Awesome work guys!
“What Is Old Is New Again” It was more than a bus trip, the exhibition and presentation allows a view of the past. I enjoyed it and hope to get a print of the image the “Last Ride” shown in the presentation because I saw my father and his buddies in it. Also thanks for this site I will show it to my brother.
I’m sorry i missed this electric avenue show does anyone know if any of these old street cars still exist anywhere?? it sure would be nice to see one of them in the flesh but like anything else of historic significance in this area i’m betting there isn’t…what a shame
