I’m always amazed that there isn’t more interesting or clever graffiti around town. Most of it is just tags. Everyone once in a while you see something a little bit different. I’ve been a fan of this one on McDougall for a while now, and finally got around to getting a picture of it. When the empty bins are stacked up, the baby pops out of the bin, and it makes me smile every time I drive past. It may even be far enough out of the line of vision that most people don’t even notice it.

I agree with you on the point of there not being more “interesting” or clever graffiti around town. Though I have seen this one in particular in quite a few different locations.
Though many (not all) people think that graffiti is a burden and/or unlawful; I think it’s an amazing art form that is taken for granted and should be more celebrated. With caution mind you because there could be some affective stuff out there lol
it looks like the work of someone with talent on the E C Row x way under the walker road viaduct where the ex C&O tracks run there was some really good art work graffiti on the walls put there maybe 5years ago I haven’t been there in a long time so I don’t know if it’s still intact or if its been defaced Jessy your right most of the graffiti around town is just the markings of punk kids with no talent for art

Been coming to the site for a few months now and love the posts and pictures. If you want to see some good graffiti you should take a walk through the alley between Ouellette/Pellisier and Wyondotte/Park. I make sure to detour through that way any chance I get now.
I agree that most of the graffiti you see around Windsor is pretty lame. Ugly tags, with simple lines, in a single colour; BLECH! But there is a lot of really well done graffiti in the world, and it really is an art form. I’d love to have a nice piece to hang in my home.
A friend of mine had a coffee shop at the corner of College and Campbell for a short time, a few years ago. “The Sanctuary” was the name. She used graffiti art for the sign, and for some of the interior, as well. It was pretty well done, but she had a hell of a time finding someone to do the work for her.

WE sholdn’t have any graffiti unless it is paid for by the tagger or commissioned by the property owner. By advertising these vandals “art” (subjective) we only encourage it.
