Doors Open – 2010

Doors Open is back this year, and set for Sunday September 26th, so circle the date on your calendar!

Doors open this year will feature 24 sites, a couple of which are new to the event this year. Also new this year are the inclusion of a couple of Mid-Century buildings from South Windsor – Glenwood United, built in 1962 & Paulin Memorial, built in 1963.

The 24 sites participating in this year’s event are:

    ASSUMPTION CHURCH

    BEDFORD UNITED CHURCH

    CANADIAN CLUB BRAND CENTRE

    CANADIAN HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT ASSOCIATION

    CENTRAL UNITED CHURCH

DESCENT OF THE HOLY GHOST ROMANIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH

    FRANCOIS BABY HOUSE

    FRANK JOYCE HOUSE/HOLY ROSARY CONVENT

A pdf version of the brochure with all the sites can be found here (5.4 mb), printed copies will probably be available around town shortly, and a copy in the Windsor Star will run either this Saturday or next Saturday (I’m not sure at this point).

More details and site descriptions can be found at the Doors Open Website -> http://doorsopenwindsor.com, or by clicking the logo above.

So save the date, I hope that you’ll support the event by visiting at least a few sites. The next event is planned for 2012.
