A view of the old International Tools / Great Lakes Die Casting building that was once located at 875 Tecumseh Rd. E. This building was located on the south side of Tecumseh Road, just west of Parent, on the site of today’s Caboto Club.
Another long gone building, and a part of our industrial past.
Have a good weekend everyone, see you back here Monday!
Gone but not forgotten. I recall walking by this mostly red brick and rather narrow frontage building a very long time ago. Thanks for reassuring me that I have not gone bonkers in remembering the south side of Tecumseh as rather different from what I see on Streetview now.
I know this is a little off topic, but an old utilitarian structure on Riverside Drive East across from Lily Kazillis and the marina on the south side of the street is to be demolished asap. Excavators are behind the lines right now digging and it looks like the old boys gonna come down sometime next week. Seems like it’s been out of service for quite some time now, does anyone have any information on this structure and stories? Would love to see a story done on the history.
Billy, are you talking about the Clairview pumping station?
On topic, anyone know if this would have been served by the Essex Terminal? I know there were two leads off the mainline that went onto what is now Caboto Club property.
Thanks Andrew!
yes Aaron that would be it!
