Willistead – 1906

A nice old shot from the Library of Congress showing the Albert Kahn designed Willistead Manor. Interesting to see the original landscaping, before the grounds became the park it is today.

An interesting detail shot, there’s a glimpse of a worker there…. As well as you can see the steeple of the original St. Anne’s church on Richmond and Argyle.

Have a great weekend everyone, see you back here Monday.

  • Willistead Manor is a fine example of copy-cat architecture.
The design was taken from English Tudor era manors in England.
It's broken up the same way as if a home was built in the 14-1500s, then additions were added throughout the generations into the 1800s.
    I love it.

  • It is most certainly Tudor, but it's made to look like it was built through different eras. (Additions).
