This is a building I’ve always liked. The Royal Bank branch at Tecumseh and Albert.
While the building has suffered through a terrible window job, the building is still a classic. It was designed in 1929 by architect Sumner Godfrey Davenport. Davenport was the chief architect for the Royal Bank of Canada, a position he held from 1920 until 1942.

A modest but handsome structure that still earns respect. Anyone have photos with the original fenestration?
Thanks, Andrew
i've always liked this building too, it's got that classic solid look a bank should have, not all glass and aluminium.
I think a little further down...actually i think it's roof is in the back ground, is a little place that seems like it was originaly a church.
thanks Andrew!
not a fan of modern signage either. i too would like to see an old shot, one showing the original signage
Reminds me of the old Chrysler HQ on Drouillard before it was pulled down.
