A view from 1953, looking east along Prince Road towards the intersection of Felix & Huron Church. Being much quieter seven decades ago, the scene looks almost rural. Long ago the intersection was redone, and only Prince and Huron Church intersect today, the others having been long closed off. The boulevards long gone as well. With the exception of the ones on Felix.
The buffer between Felix and Prince has become a green space buffer zone today, but the boulevard on Felix still remains, a glimpse back to how the area looked as shown in the photo above.
This was also an intersection with the extension of Malden Rd. (I think as the now alignment of Rosemount). Can’t help but think they missed an opportunity when they closed this all off; a direct link from Prince Rd. to Malden Rd. would be useful today.
There was a similar type of intersection at Dougall and Cabana as well. All lost to time. To be fair it would be a chaotic intersection in today’s world.
