A neat view of the Mettawas Casino from the Mason & Rice archives. Built on the edge of Lake Erie in Kingsville this massive hotel was built in 1889 and demolished in the 1902 over a tax dispute between the owner and the town of Kingsville. Quite the impressive structure and sad it was lost.

Does anyone have more details on this story? Fascinating and, as mentioned, sad.
