Misspelled Signs

Conveniece?

Google is your friend, or even a dictionary.

Now, I know that my spelling isn’t always spot on… But at least I didn’t spell the website name wrong 😉

Did you mean? I think you did…

As a side note, this will be it for a few days. I’m going to enjoy my time off this week, and the next post will be the New Year’s Eve year in review post…

  • I am extremely irritated by the misuse of the apostrophe. I think a lot of people can't resist the urge to use it, that it perhaps should be somewhere, so let's put it there. I have seen so many signs such as "TV's 50% off" or "employees' only". If the OPP wanted to do something constructive, they should police grammar. If the fine for following a fire truck too closely is $2,000, then a misspelled sign should be at $5,000.

  • Someone could have a blog dedicated to mispelled and funny signs in the area. My friend and I always laugh about these...a recent one at a store near me was "Under New Mangment".

  • Some businesses include misspellings on their signs on purpose to attract attention, but most of the time the owners can't spell or place an apostrophe correctly to save their lives.

  • You could do a whole series of misspelled store names & signs in Windsor. Many of which are downtown (the current most notable one is the "Drunkin' Burrito"). Windsor is quite possibly the moron capitol of Canada.
